Afshan Ahmad's Career Portfolio

I am a graduate student in the Nutritional Science program at California State University, Chico. I have spent my time in Chico trying to get the most out of all of the amazing and diverse nutrition and community-related opportunities available for students to participate.

 

I am originally from Orange County, California and moved to San Diego to attend the University of California, San Diego. AT UCSD, I was a pre-med student and completed my Bachelor's degree in Human Biology with a minor in European History. While in the program, I became more and more interested in nutrition and its role in preventative care and lifestyle. By the end of the program, I knew I wanted to pursue nutrition.

 

My time at Chico State has allowed me to learn and be involved in multiple aspects of nutrition from community education to medical nutrition therapy. I look forward to using my experiences from UCSD and Chico State and apply them to a dietetic internship!
